Junior fellow
To my surprise, today I came across my junior by accident. She and I belonged to brass band club and we played the clarinet together. Today we kept our appointment to see next week. I'm looking forward to talking with her in a long time.
Welcome party for new students
Today we had a welcome party for new students. I can still remember this party for us! I can't believe that a year has passed since then. I'm glad to say that I can have a more understanding of presentation before the party than last year! After listening to the presentation of the graduation thesis, I made a fresh determination. I want to be deligent in my studies this year.

Essay#2
I think PUK should review the role of faculties. As for the faculty of letters, these days PUK is the only university which has just two departments in Japan. In addition, the field of literature is not only languages but also historical science, philosophy, psychology and human science and so on. Even though we regard our department a department of foreign languages, only two departments [the department of Japanese language and culture/ the department of English language and culture] are not enough. Individually, I think PUK doesn't have enough subjects to study literature. On the other hand, PUK has fulfilling language classes at least for the students who major in English literature and literature. I think PUK should have more academic subjects. At the same time, PUK should accept more professors specialize in humanities.
As for other department, to be honest with you, I know little about the other departments at PUK. But I have been told that students of the faculty of environmental and symbiotic science have a lot to do while the faculty of administration has so little work to do. Of course there are differences among individuals, but I have heard this point several times and I think this is because the faculty of administration has too many students. So I think that the faculty of administration should be divided into smaller departments. By doing this, PUK can recruit top-class personnel depending on their specialties while boosting students’ awareness of their specialities. And then they will not feel to have so little work to do.
You know, small-group instruction is effective. I believe the diversities of lectures and the students who have a strong awareness of study will activate PUK!

My Mom, the Movie Star
Mr.Harris is very interested in old movies. He likes Anita Hamilton very much so Kerry and Gemma do to trick Mr. Harris. Today is April Fool's Day. Gemma says, "Anita Hamilton looks a little like my Mom."After he heard that, he went to see the principal. "I found someone I can ask to give a speech on Sports Day." They have looked for someone who can do it!After hearing that, Gemma called Anita Hamilton and offered her come and give a speech at her school, but she refused. Her mother was actually an actress but she did act a few movies a long time ago but she took his offer.
On sports day, when Gemma's mother made a speech, the real Anita Hamilton turned up! Gemma went on stage and apologized to a crowd. Mr. Harris was angry with her but her mother thanked her rather than be angry. And Gemma said to her mother, "I thought you were a better actress than Anita Hamilton.".
I think this story is heartwarming. I was very anxious about her mother's shock but her mother is big enough person to accept her daughter's apologies. I also think she was an wonderful actress!

Jewel case
Today I was given this jewel case by my friends. They all chipped in and bought me it. I was very surprised to see such a big present. Though I have many pierced earring, I'm poor at the arrangement of them. So I cleaned up a little on the occasion. Thank you very much for your present. It was in demand!

This weekend
I helped my father's work, in other words, I sold motorcycles! [Actually, I only advertised goods for sale.] Fortunately my father is always happy to provide me a part-time job but I don't know that I can really do a service. I'm planning to help my father's work the week after next so the only thing to do is to do my best.
