Introduction of grade skipping

Today we discussed introduction of grade skipping.Grade skipping is for students to move an elderly school.For example,you can move from elementary school to junior high school.In Japan,now some high schools and some university adapted this system.

There are four panelists on the discussion.Taro is a fifth grade student at the elementary school.
Ms.Hayashi is a elementary school teacher.She works for an elementary school for twenty years.
Mr.Lee came from China.He is fourteen and he is a student at Beijing University.
Ms.Koizumi works for Ministry of Education.

Next,now I want to talk about for panelists'position at the present moment.
Taro who is a fifth grade student at the elementary school agrees to introduction of grade skipping because he can solve all math problems.He regards his classes at school as waste of time.

Ms.Hayashi is in a neutral position because she thinks that it is hard for the poor to move to an elderly school.In addition,she considers that grade skipping will lead to the lack of the ability to communication.

Ms.Koizumi thinks that other countries could introduce grade skipping but in Japan,there is a compulsory education in Japan so the introduction of grade skipping in Japan is difficult.In Japan,the first nine years of education (elementary school and junior high school) are compulsory.

Mr.Lee said that he does not have a best friend because of grade skipping.He had to study hard every day at that time.

There was a proposition that a teacher conduct a test and examine whether students who skipped a grade can communicate freely while in school.

Ms.Koizumi thinks that we should treat all students equally.In addition,we have to think all aspects of education.

We could not understand how to conduct a test so as to examine students who skipped grades can communicate freely and Ms.Hayashi said that this test is like a terminal test including an oral test.

Mr.Lee thinks that all students should take a test.Conductiong a test on the only student who skipped a grade does not make sense.

There was a proposition to use a judgement of the teacher.The test should be conducted in academic ways.

Next,I will talk about our consensus.

As for a lower grade[for example,early elementary school years] ,there is an emortional problem with the introduction of skipping grades doubtlessly.So without grade skipping and having higher learning system in a public school is a good way.In all reason,this learning system have to ensure a high quality.Needless to say,we regard the compulsory study as very important.The trial class is also a good idea.
